Learn real tech skills, grow in a team environment, connect to your Taranaki roots, and work on a project that massively impacts our region. Please note that this programme is not NZQA-approved.
GROW YOUR DIGITAL ROOTS...
Join a team of 15 Taranaki rangatahi (young people) studying digital tech and creative media at Learner Me and using those skills to work on real- world projects for Taranaki iwi.
You’ll learn transferable technical and life skills with a learn-as-you-work approach. Plus, you’ll strengthen connections with Taranaki tangata whenua and whakapapa through marae visits and meeting with local kaumatua.
WHO IS IT FOR?
15-24 year olds living in Taranaki and currently not in education, training or employment.
WHERE?
You’ll study at Learner Me’s New Plymouth campus at 127 Gill Street.
HOW LONG IS THE PROGRAMME?
6 months (4 days per week with Wednesdays off).

This programme is fully funded through He Poutama Rangatahi, a Ministry of Social Development initiative.
DO I NEED A QUALIFICATION TO ENTER?
No. We’ll bring you up to speed and adapt the course to suit your strengths and interests.

Currently, there is a shortage of 5000 skilled people in the highly paying digital tech sector in New Zealand. This course is about helping you get your career started!
